NC high school star offered scholarship to play football and basketball for Tar Heels

Of all the athletes out there rising as a high school junior, Kendre Harrison has an almost unbelievable athletic resume to start out with and just scored another win.

Harrison —, a junior student at Reidsville High School, 2m07 and 243 lb. Harrison is the only athlete who can be considered a prospect for both basketball and football.

The prospect named Harrison has a rating of 4 stars and belongs to the basketball sector for children of the 2026 Class according to the information provided by the 247Sports website. This means that hi ranking is among the 25 best players of the nation and takes the second place among North Carolina players. According to the same website 247Sports, he is listed as a football five-star recruit and he is among the top ten most sought-after players in the entire class of 2026 in the position of a tight end.

Despite having been tendered scholarships by many reputed institutions to pursue football, a notable local institution insists on his participation in both football and basketball.

Sophomore, Harrison had the privilege of being awarded a scholarship to join the University of North Carolina at chapel Hill football team coached by Mack Brown. Now, he has been given yet another opportunity to join the school basketball team with sponsorship being offered to him by the head coach Hubert Davis.

247Sports states that the Davis offered and sat down with Harrison at UNC this Thursday when he was in attendance for June football camp.

Harrison must have played his best role in the championship match against the Clinton High School as he was able to catch the ball 5 times for 95 yards and also touched the end zone 2 times which helped the Rams to defeat Clinton High School with a score of 28-18 as per MaxPreps. In the defensive side, he also notched 6 tackles and half a sack.
